Ludwigslust – On the former garrison area the demolition of the former barracks buildings is completed. The area shall be vacated completely by the end of June.
Since the middle of April 2019 the demolition of the second and last barracks building has been continued. Before that an audio sample initiated by the conservation authority confirmed that all bats had moved out of the winter quarters in the basement.
In coordination with the conservation authority and the architect VentusVentures has planned an alternative accommodation for the bats on the spot. The building application for the accommodation was already submitted. The little bat house shall be realized until the end of this year.
Currently measurement work is carried out on the site at the corner of Garnisonsstraße/Bürgermeister-Brandenburg Straße.
Start of construction of the first building is scheduled for the end of the first quarter 2020.
